It was announced this morning on the club’s social media that Hull KR have secured the services of utility back Jack Broadbent from Castleford, initially on a season-long loan, before starting a three year deal with the Robins from next season.

Also involved in the deal are Corey Hall and Louis Senior, who are heading in the opposite direction, also on season-long loans. Senior, who is off-contract with KR at the end of the season, will no doubt be looking to impress to earn a contract with the Tigers for the future, with Corey Hall eager to gain first team minutes to aid his development.

On his signing with the Robins, Broadbent had this to say on the club’s official website: ‘I’m delighted to be signing with Hull KR. I’m looking forward to linking up with the players and getting started, I know quite a few of them already so it will be good to see a few familiar faces. I’ve spoke with Willie quite a bit and he speaks really highly of the environment at Hull KR and from what I’ve been told about the team I think it will be a good fit of me personally. It’s my aim to get myself into the team and hopefully I can push to get into it. The club is on the rise, they made a final last year and they’re in a semi-final this year again. Hull KR is a club heading in the right direction, pushing for the top four and trophies and I’m really looking forward to being a part of that.’

This is just the latest development in Hull KR’s recruitment, following this past weekend’s announcement that Ryan Hall will be leaving the club at season’s end to return to the Leeds Rhinos, and the previous revelation that the club had signed Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for the 2025 season as Willie Peters continues to build on his side’s momentum from these past two years.
