This week’s disciplinary saw a rare case of a double charge, as Michael McIlorum was charged with both a trip and late contact on passer (both Grade B charges). He was slapped with a 1 Match Penalty Notice on both charges, meaning he will miss the Dragons trips to Leigh and Wigan over the next two weekends. The Dragons and McIlorum chose to challenge the grading of the latter charge, but were unsuccessful in their appeal.

Staying on the subject of the Catalans side, their prop forward Mike McMeeken was also cited this past week by the panel, facing a Grade B charge of Dangerous Contact during the Dragons victory against Hull KR. He was also handed a 1 Match Penalty Notice for this offence and will miss the Leigh game on Friday night.

As for the Dragons’ opponents from last week, Hull KR, they also saw one of their forwards censured as Matty Storton faced a Grade B charge for Dangerous Contact. He avoided a ban and was instead punished with a £250 fine.

Elsewhere, there were two charges in the Championship as Barrow’s Ryan Johnston received a one-match ban for a Grade C late contact on the passer, and Dewsbury Rams prop forward Ronan Dixon was handed a £125 fine for a Grade B Head Contact charge stemming from his teams game against Swinton Lions. There was also a charge for Wakefield Reserves’ Ellis Lingard, who received a £25 fine for a Grade B Dangerous Throw/Lift.
