The final two of the 2024 Betfred Challenge Cup was decided this past weekend, as the Wigan Warriors and the Warrington Wolves booked their places at Wembley for the 8th June.
Wigan were the first to secure their place after outclassing Hull KR in front of a capacity crowd in Doncaster. The Lancashire outfit found themselves 24-0 up at half time, and never looked in any danger from there on in. They eventually ran out with a 38-6 win.
Warrington Wolves also never looked in any danger during their semi final against Huddersfield Giants, ensuring an all Lancashire final. A vintage performance from Sam Burgess’ side saw them brush the Giants aside and ease to a 46-10 win.
The Men’s Challenge Cup Final will be the showcase game of a day of finals at Wembley on June the 8th, joined by the Women’s Challenge Cup Final between St Helens and Leeds Rhinos, as well as the 1895 Cup final, which will see Wakefield Trinity take on Sheffield Eagles.
