Hull FC have entered the loan market, bringing Wigan Warriors prop Sam Eseh Junior back to the MKM Stadium on a season-long loan.

21-year-old Eseh made four appearances for the Black & Whites in a brief loan spell last season, but has secured a longer-term move this time.

He links up with John Cartwright’s team immediately, but will not play against Huddersfield Giants on Friday, with Hull having already named their 21-man squad for that game at lunchtime today.

It is known that Hull have been looking for a big, aggressive middle for some time, with the season ending injury to Ligi Sao making that need more urgent.

The club, meanwhile have confirmed that Samoan international Sao will miss the remainder of the season, having had surgery on a serious knee injury, which rules him out for at least nine to 12 months.
