When Nathan asked me to write up our regular predictions and scores on the doors as it were, I thought: oh goodie, I’ve been wanting a crack at this, it’s just a shame it’s come at what is a very busy time for me personally, so I can guarantee I won’t make as good a job of it as our erstwhile editor normally does, but here goes.

I know I’m somewhat behind Nathan with the scores on our doors, but I believe one good week can make all the difference (I got the gap down to a single point in one good week recently) so hope springs eternal.

The Rules:

  • Each person predicts the results from every Super League match
  • Predicting the correct winner will get you 1 point
  • Predicting a scoreline within ten points of the actual score (for both teams) will win an additional two points
  • Correctly predicting the exact score will win you an additional five points
  • A bonus point will be awarded if you can correctly predict the first try scorer

Unfortunately, due no doubt to my ageing memory (I am over a certain age that begins, but is not limited to the number 5) I cannot remember all the scores from Magic Weekend, or how many points each of us garnered, but I’m sure Nathan will remedy that when he’s back on top form after this coming weekend’s games, so now I’m going to get straight into the predictions.

Nathan’s Picks:

St. Helens 22 Catalans Dragons 16. First try scorer: Reimiss Smith

Leeds Rhinos 16 Hull FC 12. First try scorer: Lewis Martin

Wigan 32 Leigh 18. First try scorer: Jai Field

Hull KR 36 Huddersfield 10. First try scorer: Peta Hiku

Wakefield Trinity 12 Warrington 26. First try scorer: Matt Dufty

Castleford 26 Salford 6. First try scorer: Tom Amone

Ian’s Picks:

St. Helens 18 Catalans Dragons 26. First try scorer: Tevita Pangai Jr

Leeds Rhinos 16 Hull FC 22. First try scorer: Jordan Rapana

Wigan 42 Leigh 12. First try scorer: Luke Thompson

Hull KR 40 Huddersfield 16. First try scorer: Joe Burgess

Wakefield Trinity 24 Warrington 18. First try scorer: Max Jowitt

Castleford 18 Salford 10. First try scorer: Innes Senior

Editor’s note: I’ve looked back at the results and predictions from the Magic Weekend, and the score going into Round 11 is: Nathan 98 – Ian 74
