Hull FC have announced that former Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel Zak Hardaker has signed a one-year contract extension.
Signed from Leigh Leopards, Hardaker swept the board at the Hull FC Player of the Year Awards after his debut season in Black & White, and has carried on in much the same way so far this season.
Speaking on hullfc.com the former England international said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be doing another year at Hull FC in 2027.”
“Getting it over the line so early in the year is a Godsend really because it’s no longer going to be a distraction worrying about my future. I can get my head down and solely focus on winning games for Hull now.”
“I just want to give a shout-out to the fans as well, who have been nothing short of fantastic with me during my time at the club.”
“I absolutely love the faithful and can’t wait to do another year playing in front of them.”
Director of Rugby Gareth Ellis said: “We are delighted to see Zak commit to the club for another season – he has been an incredibly important addition to our group over the past 18-months and will continue to be as we move forward into 2027.”
“His energy and enthusiasm for the club and the sport is infectious and he is a critically important figure for our group in these areas on both the training and playing fields.”
“He is in a really good place, both on and off the field and that stability is allowing him to consistently perform and contribute positively to the environment we are building here.”
“Zak is enjoying his rugby here in West Hull, and that is reflected in his performances across last season, and into 2026 as one of our standout performers in all areas.”
