Even though Ian managed to correctly predict the winner of every game in this round, I’ve managed to maintain my lead after round three following two close predictions again, with the gap between us now standing at six points.
Hull KR breezed past a woeful Salford side on their way to maintaining their 100% record so far this season. Rumours of unpaid wages dogged a Salford side who made their displeasure know through their performances, as KR ran in seven unanswered tries. Rovers will face their toughest test so far this season when they visit St Helens, who are also undefeated in 2025 thus far.
Hull FC bounced back from their disappointing loss to Wigan Warriors last week with a win at the struggling Huddersfield Giants. There wasn’t much to separate both teams during a back-and-forth encounter, but a interception pass from young Harvey Barron to equalise the scores took the wind out of Huddersfield’s sails, before captain Aiden Sezer slotted over the winning drop goal.
The Leopards continue to maul all opposition put in front of them, dispatching the toothless Catalans Dragons by a score of 34-6 to make it three wins from three in 2025. Umyla Hanley claimed a hat-trick as Adrian Lam’s men piled the pressure onto coach Steve McNamara, who has overseen a dismal start to the campaign with the Dragons, losing all three games so far.
The Saints also managed to keep their 100% record at the expense of Wakefield Trinity on Saturday. The Red V cantered to a routine win in West Yorkshire, with tries coming from Welsby, Robertson, Clark, and Feldt.
Super League invaded Las Vergas for the first time this past weekend, with an American audience getting its first glimpses of Super League’s champions the Wigan Warriors, as they brushed aside the Warrington Wolves with ease at Allegiant Stadium. The Warriors were 42-0 up before Warrington even put points on the board, although they eventually managed to pull back to a respectable finish, the day belonged to Wigan, claiming a win in the first Super League tie on American soil.
The weekend was rounded out with a West Yorkshire derby as Leeds Rhinos hosted the Castleford Tigers. The Rhinos came out on top in a spirited affair that finished 38-24, leaving Danny McGuire’s Tigers searching for their first win of the season, and propelling the Rhinos up to fifth in the table.
