In amongst the hoopla surrounding the festival of Rugby League World Cups (Men’s, Women’s, and Wheelchair), one category of World Cup has fallen by the wayside, that being the PDRL (Physical Disability Rugby League) World Cup, also to be held in Australia later this month.

Yesterday, the England PDRL team received their jerseys for their upcoming trip Down Under, and amongst them was Connor Lynes, whose training vest for the competition was proudly sponsored by Gerrim Onside, among others. Until the end of the previous season, Connor was co-captain of the Hull KR PDRL team with our very own editor, Nathan, who will be cheering his former teammate and England on proudly.

England PDRL get their World Cup campaign underway on the 30th of October, against the hosts Australia. They will be hoping to defend the trophy they won on home soil back in 2022, and will go up against Australia and New Zealand for the right to be called the world champions of PDRL. The fixtures for this World Cup have been added to our Fixtures & Results page on this site. All the games of the PDRL World Cup will be streamed on YouTube.

We here at Gerrim Onside would like to send our best wishes to the entire England PDRL squad, and we’ll be cheering you on in the hope you bring the trophy home next month!
